Reclaimed Wood Collection to Debut Soon

Rare Earth Hardwoods is preparing to introduce our latest unique wood product. We call this product our Radial Hewn Collection — textured wood for use as flooring, inlays, wall treatments, furniture and more.

The Radial Hewn collection is currently available in three distinct patterns:

Crossover – Double radius pattern with distinct diamond appearance.

Fishbone – Combines elements of traditional and transitional patterns to showcase a unique double helix with diamond design.

Rissaw – Partial radius pattern similar to what historically was commonly available from circle sawmills.

Radial Hewn products exhibit unique textured surfaces and are produced from urban reclaimed trees.

Since these trees are considered salvaged outside of the commercial loggin enterprises, the materials are eliglbe for earning LEED and other green building credits for recycled, reclaimed content, certified wood and regional materials credits for projects within a 500 mile radius of our manufacturing facility.

The Radial Hewn Collection will debut on our website soon. Check for updates!

About Rare Earth Hardwoods

Since 1982, Rare Earth Hardwoods has been supplying the world with the finest domestic and imported lumber and wood products. As an importer and manufacturer, Rare Earth Hardwoods endeavors to accommodate a wide variety of customer needs for wood materials and associated services. Our product line includes high quality exotic and domestic flooring, flooring accessories, inlays, specialty woods and plywood. A continuous revolving inventory of over one-half million board feet of lumber provides material to our 60,000 square feet production facility situated on a 9 acre site near Traverse City, Michigan. Rare Earth Hardwoods established an office in the Amazon region of Brazil in 2002. The office sits on a minimally harvested site and includes a 2,000 acre preserve of virgin forest. Our direct involvement at the source enables Rare Earth Hardwoods to better monitor the production practices of our associate mills in the region. Since opening the office in Brazil, we have been able to secure the rights to wood that would otherwise be wasted. This allows us to offer more lumber to the market without cutting additional trees. Rare Earth Hardwoods is committed to the responsible harvesting of timber used in our products. Through continued education pertaining to the natural resource, along with innovative non-impact forestry practices, REH continues a tradition of developing methods for producing hardwood products with less impact on the environment.
